Sphere Bio Visits INL to Share Advances in Microdroplet Technology

Partners from Sphere Bio visited the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), coordinator of the 3DSecret project, to present their latest advances in microdroplet technology and explore potential new synergies within the consortium.

Microdroplet systems are being used in the 3DSecret project to encapsulate single cells, enabling multiparametric studies to reveal proliferation patterns and gain new insights into metastatic processes.

The visit included presentations and discussions led by Ravi Girdhar and Tarun Kumar Mahto from Sphere Bio, with coordination and support from Sara Abalde Cela, Miguel Xavier, and Francisco Guimarães at INL. The lively exchanges fostered opportunities for collaboration and further integration of microdroplet approaches into the project’s research.

This interaction reinforced the consortium’s commitment to combining cutting-edge technologies to advance understanding of cancer metastasis and improve tools for precision health.
